Back to School 2025!

Yup, it's "that" time of year again: Back to School! 😌 The most expensive 💸 time of the year for families, right? (Second only to Raya, of course #iykyk). My kiddos are heading back: Adam (Year 6), Iman (Year 5), Fateh (Year 3), and Yusuf (Year 1). Rasa macam sekejap je cuti ek?

Alhamdulillah, last year's exam results were not too shabby. Semua masih naik pentas lagi 🏅. Last year was a "new kid on the block" experience for them, and they all rocked it. Every single one of them went up on stage for awards. Honestly, I was a bit worried about Adam's sekolah agama results, but thanks to his super caring Ustazah Syahirah, he pulled through. Kudos to Adam too, of course.

School prep is in full swing here. Buku sekolah kebangsaan? Settle! 📚📖 Yusuf's school fees and buku sekolah agama? Paid! Now, just the buku and fees for the older boys' sekolah agama left, plus the yuran sekolah kebangsaan when school actually starts.

These fees and books alone cost me almost RM2K! And that's not even the whole story;

1. Baju sukan sekolah and KRMJ 👖👕 outfits that are now too small.
2. Yusuf's 👦🏻 uniform (he's the newbie, so everything's new)
3. Baju sekolah agama (at least 2 pairs each, 'cause last year's look like belacan already)
4. Samping. We only have one left. The others have gone missing. Maybe monyet 🐒 stole them?
5. Vest/Samping for Adam (Ketua Kelas), Iman (PRS), Nadi Ansor. Fateh (Prefect), Yusuf (Not yet)
6. Socks. Duh 🧦
7. Songkok (Adam, Iman, and Fateh lost theirs THREE times last year)
8. School bags

Luckily, we're good on shoes 👟 (bought them last December) and stationery (I bought in bulk last time, so #savingmoney). 

Dengan Yusuf's starting Year 1, which means my monthly expenses are going up a bit 📈 (School fees, van, transit and the list goes on). Apa-apa pun, InsyaAllah, I can manage, but I need to draft a budget so I don't overspend. 📝
