Good news, Malaysia! Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) Fasa 1 is here to help ease the financial burden! 🎉 (Especially time anak nak naik sekolah ni kan?)

Yup, starting Esok, Rabu (Wednesday) 22 January 2025, almost 9 million rakyat will receive a payout of RM2.3 billion – that's more than last year's RM2.1 billion!  This increase shows the government's commitment to supporting those who need it most, especially during these times of rising living costs.

Here's a quick breakdown of who qualifies and how much you can expect to receive:

• Category 1 - Household income less than RM2,500 - You'll get RM500!
• Category 2 - Household income between RM2,500 and RM5,000 - You'll get between RM150 and RM300.
• Senior citizen with no spouse - You'll get RM150.
• Single person - You'll get RM150.

For those with bank accounts, the money will be automatically deposited into your accounts starting on 22 January 2025.

For those without bank accounts, you can claim your payout in cash from Bank Simpanan Malaysia (BSN) starting on the same date. Just remember to bring your ID for verification, and only registered representatives can collect on your behalf.

Not sure if you're eligible? No worries as you can check your application status on the STR portal at bantuantunai.hasil.gov.my. And if your name isn't there yet, fret not – new applications are accepted throughout the year!
